How do you find your talent and/or guest performers?
Here is a question for those of you with troupes or those of you that produce shows - how do you go about finding your talent? Do you hold auditions? Do you seek out individual performers and recruit them into your group? Or do they come to you? Do you pick up new burlesquers from classes you teach? How does your troupe bring on new members?

For dancers, we've had auditions, we've scouted burlesque classes, and we've had guest performers who asked/were asked to join the troupe. For our magician... we saw him at another show, and asked him if he wanted other gigs, and have been working with him for 4 years now. We lucked into a tight circle of really talented stand-ups for our comedians, and we're pretty tightly connected with the local improv scene for an assortmant of other acts.
